A recent report has revealed that a sizeable percentage of stolen vehicles end up being sold for scrap, using a registered breaker or scrap yard can help prevent you becoming a part of this.

Scrap car works only with registered breakers and scrap yards so you can rest assured that your vehicle will be disposed of following strict UK and EU legislation. Vehicle dumping and incorrect disposal is one of the biggest expenses to the tax payer every year with a government paying millions to recover and correctly dispose of vehicles.

An accredited firm will also issue you with an ELV (End of Life Vehicle) certificate if your vehicle is to be scrapped, once you have this form you can claim back any unused car tax using a V14 form available on the DVLA site.

Even if you’re just scrapping it is important that you go to a reputable dealer, you never know what will happen to your vehicle if the correct documentation isn’t issued. Working alongside registered dealers scrap car also offers a feedback service so as a customer you can see what the firm you are dealing with is actually like, directly from other customers.

The report refers to the thieves as ‘Urban Pirates’ and a number of garages have described how they have been turning away up to 200 vehicles a month when they cannot ascertain exactly where the vehicle is from.

Scrapping a car yourself by taking it to an Authorised Treatment Centre (ATC) is not always the best option, any forms must be obtained personally at both a cost and time expense. For more information on scrapping written off, end of life, uninsured or unroadworthy vehicles contact the DVLA at Swansea SA99 1AR.

Working with a network of car breakers and garages means that Scrap-Car can offer you a more comprehensive, simplified service.

As soon as you fill in a simple online form the details of your vehicle are sent to the most local breakers to you. Meaning that you will likely deal with a company near to you.

Scrap car is now big business since the government followed on from Europe’s lead and introduced a scrappage scheme offering money off new vehicles in exchange for the scrapping of automobiles 10 years or older.

Even if a local buyer cannot be found for your vehicle you can still take advantage of the free vehicle collection and your vehicle will be taken from a location of your choice, meaning that your car doesn’t even have to be roadworthy.

Once your car has been taken away and you have been issued with the appropriate documentation you can download a V14 form from the DVLA website and claim back any car tax that you are entitled to.

All firms within the network are accredited by both local councils and environmental agencies so you can rest assured that your vehicle will be disposed of correctly and in accordance to EU and UK laws, imposed to try and curb the damage done to both the environment and the tax payers wallet when a car is dumped or disposed of incorrectly

Parking charges in Wolverhampton city centre are to be cut by 25% in a bid to attract shoppers.

The standard evening fee is being cut from £2.50 to £2, Wolverhampton Council believed that a free parking trial around the retail markets early last year did indeed increase the number of shoppers in the centre.

Wolverhampton has long been famous as the home to Goodyear Tires and nearby Birmingham has a rich history in the automotive sector and is still home to the Land Rover factory in Castle Bromwich with 40% of all auto investments coming into the West Midlands. An impending deal with China also plans to bring the good times back to British car manufacturers in Birmingham.

cash for your old vehicle Wolverhampton works with a network of registered scrappage firms in the area to offer a simple yet comprehensive scrappage service. The network even goes into Wolverhampton itself so local firms can benefit from their local knowledge scrap car Bridgnorth for example is a popular area for breakers.

Scrapping vehicles has become a lot more popular recently since Government’s across Europe introduced scrappage schemes with a financial incentive and with the cost of running vehicles becoming even higher many people are turning to scrappage services to take their vehicles off the road. All vehicles that are scrapped with receive End of Life Vehicle certificates (ELV) as per UK and EU legislation.

The discussion over environmental issues has been full of talk about the latest hybrid and electric models, but people seem to be ignoring the latest development in transmissions that could do wonders for fuel economy.

The transmission is the link between the engine and the wheels of the car, known here in the UK as the gearbox. Engineers in the US however have been making discoveries that could result in vehicles having multi-speed gears in the style of mountain bikes.

Paul Lacy of consultant IHS Automotive said:

”Manufacturers are able to get efficiencies out of transmission that were unheard of.”

It is expected that within the next four or five years we will see vehicles with as many as nine gears replacing three or four speed automatics in the States.

Experts say the reason higher gears help fuel economy as it keeps the engine running at its ‘sweet spot’.

‘Dual-clutch transmissions’ are currently very popular over in mainland Europe and have replaced the CVT technologies that were originally touted to replace current technologies, consumers however were so to warm to the CVT arguing that they “feel and sound different”.

Replacement gearboxes are one of the most sought after parts say part finder services. Finder services such as CarSpareFinder have a network of breakers and dealers and will find the part that you need with a number of quotes when possible so you can choose based on price, location or even just personal preference.

An alternator is used to charge the battery of your car when the engine is running. It turns the kinetic energy produced from the combustion process and coverts it to electrical energy. Without a functioning alternator, your battery soon becomes flat, and with some vehicles like the VW Sharan, Ford Galaxy and Seat Alhambra to take an example, the result can be much more serious causing the engine to fail.

Very Good Explanation of how an alternator works.

Alternators are usually attached to your engine through an adjustable pulley system. The adjustable pulley system enable the alternator to have greater efficiency at idling speeds. In addition, on he same belt of the pulley system, you will find the cooling fan and some other devices. Things that can reduce the efficiency of your alternator can include, bearing loss, voltage drop in the diode, copper loss, iron loss, and fan cooling loss.

Finding an alternator for your car at second hand or discount prices does not have to be difficult. In fact it is now as simple as filling in an online form. Leading UK internet vehicle part locator services such as Car Part Buyer or 4x4sparefinder help consumers save time and money to get a genuine manufacturer used vehicle part.

Problems with Car Fuel Injector Systems do not have to mean thousands of pounds sterling in replacement parts and repair labour costs. Here’s how to get it done in right way.
When you talk about car or van fuel injector systems with any mechanic or do it yourself enthusiast with a good knowledge of cars they are aware of what the challenge is. A few months ago, I bought my wife a used BMW M3 E90 series, but after several weeks of driving she started to experience a problem with the vehicle. There was a light stumble when she rode it and the BMW was starting to act sluggishly. My initial thoughts were that the injector system needed a cleanup. Both my wife and I used local garages to service and maintain our cars properly. For this reason I went to our local garage and asked for a basic cleaning / service of the injector system. The only way was to take them out totally. I have M3 E90, 6 cylinders 4.0 L V8 and it is advisable to use a can of fuel injector cleaner.
Fuel Injectors are something that is processes raw fuels, using the Venturi effect. Its function is to create a low pressure zone, drawing in and entraining the suction fluid. By doing this it converts into pressure energy making the engine functioning at its most efficient and optimum way. Inside the car fuel injectors, there are situated six electrical connectors. To remove them, one does so by pushing them apart. One can do this oneself, pull all of them out and clean the fuel injector system in its entirety. One starts by disconnecting the battery. It is essential that there should not be any kind of power surge or spikes, or gases, as one needs a safe environment in order not to see the vehicle go up in flames.
Fuel injectors inside cars are attached to the engine by fuel rails which need to be separated when one needs to clean them. My garage informed me that the fuel injector had failed, and since it was out of warranty the replacement cost was down to me. A new one was more nearly a thousand pounds. Faced with this problem of my BMW M3 E90 and its sluggish performance, I was unsure whom to contact, and how to deal with the issue. Then one of my friends suggested to me to use a UK vehicle part locator online to see if a BMW M3 recycled replacement injector for carsparefinder and then I contacted them BY PHONE ON THEIR PREMIUM LINE SERVICE stating my problem and need. They provided me with up to date details of all their vehicle dismantlers who specialise in breaking M3 spare parts that one may need for any BMW models. They are nowhere near as costly as a new part. The average price paid for a replacement is less than £200 and you will surely save money when you buy a recycled injector system part from a carsparefinder breaker. The dismantlers can install them in your car, if you choose. Many consumers who use carsparefinder are in fact diy car enthusiasts and as soon as they receive the vehicle parts install it themselves or get a friend who is a mechanic to do it.
Breakers will often sell you the cleaner and spray to help you to keep your car in optimum condition. After receiving it one just needs to install the new injector system, and put back the battery. As soon as I installed it, my M3 took just a few minutes to get going. The fuel injector system was under the correct constant pressure, so it was easy to get it started it again. This apparently is quite was normal. As fuel injector pump needed hardly any time to deliver fuel to the injectors, our car started instantly and we were on our way driving, thanks to the mechanic and with help from carsparefinder.
